Title: Remedy Wants To Fix Alan Wake And Control’s Biggest Problem: Not Enough Players
Date: Tue, 26 May 2026 15:03:04 +0000
Link: https://www.gamespot.com/articles/remedy-wants-to-fix-alan-wake-and-controls-biggest-problem-not-enough-players/
Remedy Entertainment has developed several critically acclaimed games over the years, but that hasn't always translated into blockbuster sales. Alan Wake 2 is a notable example, as the horror-mystery game only became profitable after achieving 2 million sales in February 2025, over a year after it was first released. That's an area that Remedy's new CEO, Jean-Charles Gaudechon, is aiming to improve on, as the former EA Games executive aims to preserve Remedy's identity for producing off-the-wall games while maximizing the potential of its IP.
Gaudechon plans to build on a strategy that was incubated at Remedy before his arrival, as the company signed a deal with Annapurna to develop TV shows and movies based on Alan Wake and Control. "We need to think more about how we are approaching our IPs as a franchise," Gaudechon said to The Game Business. "How do we grow the community? [Our deal with] Annapurna goes into making our games, our franchises shine further, and reach an audience that doesn't exist today. It's a pity, I think Alan Wake should have sold more. Control should have sold more. To me, that’s one of the first things we need to fix, even before trying to make more games to a certain extent."
This plan will revolve around Remedy working to "maximize the potential" of its existing IP, with cross-media projects like the Annapurna deal playing a large role in the process, Gaudechon said. At the same time, Remedy is moving into self-publishing and will utilize its "unique" voice for strange single-player games to promote its projects, the CEO added.
Remedy's next big release is Control: Resonant, a direct sequel to 2019's Control. While the first game was an action-adventure built around shooting and wielding paranormal powers, Control: Resonant shifts the action to melee combat and is set in a topsy-turvy version of Manhattan. As you'd expect, it looks downright weird as players will have to take on strange new versions of the antagonistic Hiss while navigating through environments that openly defy the laws of physics.
It doesn't have a release date yet, but Control: Resonant is expected to launch later this year for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. Meanwhile, Alan Wake fans will want to check out the spooky ghost-hunting game Phasmophobia before it's too late to take part in a time-limited crossover event.

Title: Lego Batman: Legacy Of The Dark Knight Fixes Batman & Robin’s Biggest Non-Nipple Problem
Date: Tue, 26 May 2026 14:29:20 +0000
Link: https://www.gamespot.com/articles/lego-batman-legacy-of-the-dark-knight-fixes-batman-robins-biggest-non-nipple-problem/
Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is a pastiche of Batman stories, especially those from the films. That makes it fun to view from a modern lens, as the story reinterprets famous plot points and characters and merges them together to tell one consistent story. And thanks to that freedom, Lego Batman has seen fit to correct one of the worst and most infamous Bat-crimes in all of cinematic history.
Spoilers follow.
As mentioned, Legacy of the Dark Knight remixes pieces from throughout the movies. You have wannabe crime boss Penguin from The Batman franchise who then transitions into a mayoral hopeful and animalistic creep a la Batman Returns. Most of these portrayals are taken directly from the films, and in the cases where there is only one on-screen version, that tends to be the one that wins out. Catwoman is largely a blend of Michelle Pfeiffer's Batman Returns portrayal and the more general comic book notion of her as a white-hat thief. Poison Ivy has only ever been portrayed in Batman & Robin, so Uma Thurman's version of the character essentially serves as the template here.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NnN9wybh6Yo
However, Lego Batman smartly breaks from this for its portrayal of Bane. In Batman & Robin, Bane was little more than a 'roided-up thug. (He also wears a hat.) He was dumb muscle for Poison Ivy. He barely spoke because he barely could speak. He was the Hulk from Marvel Comics, transposed into a Batman movie. And not even Smart Hulk.
For fans of the comics, this was deeply annoying. Bane is one of Batman's greatest foes, not because he's a massive muscle man--though he is that too--but because he's also a criminal mastermind and strategic genius. The comics' Knightfall arc culminated in Bane breaking the Bat's spine over his knee like a twig, but that only happened after months of planning to systematically assault and traumatize Batman, physically exhausting him into a state where he would be vulnerable enough for Bane's final blow. Bane didn't simply overpower his opponent; he studied Batman, identified a weakness, and exploited it.
Boiling all that down to a barely-verbal mutant was a real "hey what the hell" moment for me as a kid. Even as I've grown to see Batman & Robin as self-aware camp, the treatment of Bane was a sore spot.
So I was very gratified to see that Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight corrects this error with a Knightfall chapter that very closely matches the comic arc that inspired it. Without getting into particular details, it finds a way to emulate the broad strokes of the original: an Arkham prison break to exhaust Batman and lead him into a trap that ultimately breaks his spirit and his spine. Well, a Lego version of it anyway.
This version of Bane is not a hulking brute or hired muscle. He was lurking in the background all throughout, orchestrating certain events as part of his master plan. And he's even urbane and well-spoken, with an excellent comedic performance by Matt Berry. It even reminded me a little of James Adomian's comedic portrayal of the character in the Harley Quinn animated series, which certainly felt intentional.
In many ways, Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is an imitation of the movies that it pays homage to. But in this one very specific and, to me, very important way, it's an improvement.
Title: What Will I Miss Most About Destiny 2? The Real-Life Drip
Date: Tue, 26 May 2026 14:17:02 +0000
Link: https://www.gamespot.com/articles/what-will-i-miss-most-about-destiny-2-irl-collectible-jackets/
Destiny 2 players are currently mourning the impending demise of the game, as its final major content update drops in June. While it'll still be playable for the foreseeable future, many in the community are lamenting the fact that there will be no more new raids to conquer and no new destinations to visit.
But me? I'm currently feeling despair over the fact that I'll no longer have silly pieces of fashion to chase after. And not just the spiffy armor pieces I was able to slap on my Guardian--in real life.
For the uninitiated, some progress in Destiny 2 through certain events unlocks prizes in the Bungie Rewards Store--a subset of Bungie.net's actual merchandise store, where you can buy Destiny stuff ranging from t-shirts and mugs to gun replicas and collectible busts. When big events happen in the game, they often come with unique merchandise that's only available for purchase if you complete some in-game activity or quest. The more notable the achievement, the better the item you're eligible to purchase. The best of these were limited, custom jackets tied to the release of Destiny 2's most difficult content: its six-player raids and three-player dungeons.
For regular endgame players, this meant that there was always a new jacket to look forward to with each expansion, and for me, that was a fashionable highlight with the release of each new chapter in the series. Beating a raid boss within the first week of the raid's release earned you the right to spend cash on a jacket to show off your triumphs, and Bungie typically offered some killer fashion to stand out from the pack. If you didn't finish the raid or dungeon within its release window, you couldn't get the jacket, making each one a very special item limited only to players who were willing and able to put in the time to brave Destiny 2's biggest challenges.
It might sound absurd that you'd have to spend a weekend--or several, in the case of The Final Shape's infamous raid--just to unlock the privilege of giving Bungie money, but there was just something so satisfying about a tangible reward. Destiny 2 jackets are designed to fit right in with the aesthetic of Bungie's universe, with the Salvation's Edge, Vault of Glass, and Deep Stone Crypt jackets being instant head-turners. These jackets aren't just comfortable and versatile--I wore one to the top of Table Mountain on a chilly, misty day, and it was perfect--they're also beacons to fellow Destiny 2 Guardians.
It's not perfect, but by and large, Destiny 2 has a terrific community of people who are always ready to lend a hand and join you to take down paracausal forces of darkness. In real life, wearing one of these jackets and being spotted by a comrade-in-arms is always a treat, and talking shop with someone who has braved some of Destiny 2's greatest challenges is always a treat. It has happened several times to me in the past while I was decked out in my comfy raid gear, and I'll still proudly wear these jackets with pride.
This is going to be a gap in my life that I hope Bungie plugs with Marathon rewards. So far, the Bungie Rewards Store has zero Marathon-related items, a crying shame given just how strong the extraction shooter's art direction is. And for players who overcame its notoriously difficult endgame content? They deserve to bask in their glory while wrapped inside a wearable collectible.
Time will tell if that changes, but for now, my Destiny 2 raid jackets will serve as a cozy reminder of the game's greatest moments and victories.

Title: An Unexpected Lego Game Could Be Coming Very Soon
Date: Tue, 26 May 2026 14:00:52 +0000
Link: https://www.gamespot.com/articles/an-unexpected-lego-game-could-be-coming-very-soon/
The summer wave of video game announcements is nearly upon us, with a PlayStation State of Play, Summer Game Fest Live, and an Xbox Showcase already scheduled within a six-day span of one another. A few hints as to what may show up during reveal season are starting to surface, including one that will have Lego fans raising an eyebrow: Paradox Interactive's Lego Skylines.
Via Gematsu, the name Lego Skylines has appeared among other known upcoming projects on a recent ratings report by the Game Rating and Administration Committee of Korea, the country's ESRB equivalent. Paradox Interactive, the developer of the Cities Skylines franchise of city-builder games, is listed as the developer, but no other information is provided.
This is the first time a Lego Skylines game has been mentioned publicly, as there has been no formal announcement from either Paradox or Lego as of this writing. The Swedish firm's last project in the franchise was Cities Skyline II, though the studio has also released both Europa Universalis V and Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 since then.
A licensed Lego game has already launched a game in 2026, Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight, which released earlier this month. Lego Batman follows Lego Party, a blocky take on Mario Party, and Lego Voyagers, a cozy co-op platformer, which both launched in the second half of 2025.
Title: 8BitDo Reveals Ultimate 3E Modular Controller For Xbox And PC
Date: Tue, 06 Jan 2026 06:44:00 +0000
Link: https://www.gamespot.com/articles/8bitdo-ultimate-3e-modular-xbox-pc-controller-revealed-releases-this-summer/1100-6537181/
8BitDo unveiled the next generation of its flagship Ultimate controller series at CES 2026--and it now makes sense why the manufacturer hasn't released an Xbox version of the Ultimate 2. Officially licensed by Xbox, the 8BitDo Ultimate 3E is a wireless modular controller for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, Apple devices, and Android. The controller comes out on August 31, 2026.
If you're eager to get your hands on 8BitDo's first modular controller, be prepared to spend considerably more than you did on the 8BitDo Ultimate 2 or any other traditional controller from the popular accessory maker. The 8BitDo Ultimate 3E will retail for $150, placing it squarely in competition with Microsoft's own Elite Series 2 and other licensed Xbox controllers such as the Razer Wolverine V3 Pro, Victrix Pro BFG Reloaded, Nacon Revolution X Unlimited, Turtle Beach Stealth Ultra, Scuf Valor Pro, and GameSir G7 Pro.

Unsurprisingly, the 8BitDo Ultimate 3E is the most feature-rich and technologically advanced controller in 8BitDo's catalog. It has some features found on the Ultimate 2 and Pro 3 Controllers, but the fully modular build means it has more customization options than any 8BitDo controller before it. And while you certainly can't refer to a $150 controller as "budget-friendly," it is priced lower most of the controllers listed above.

The Ultimate 3E is only the second wireless 8BitDo controller for Xbox, following last year's Ultimate 3-Mode 40th Anniversary Edition, which is on sale for $80 (was $90) at Amazon.
The Ultimate 3E has numerous features that are brand-new to 8BitDo's popular controller line. It's slightly wider than the Ultimate 2 and has textured, silicone handles to improve comfort and control. Like the Elite Series 2 and other officially licensed third-party gamepads, the Ultimate 3E comes with a hardshell carrying case and a set of swappable components.
Modular components include the right and left joysticks, D-pad, ABXY buttons, and the front faceplate. Two magnetic ABXY button modules--one standard, one microswitch--are included with the controller. This is the first time we've seen swappable face buttons utilized to switch between traditional membrane inputs and rapid, clicky microswitches. The magnetic faceplate needs to be removed before switching the ABXY modules.
Like the Ultimate 2 and Pro 3, the Ultimate 3E has TMR anti-drift joysticks with customizable RGB light rings. Stick movements are registered by electromagnetic sensors and offer a smoother, more precise feel than Hall Effect sticks. In addition to a pair of traditional sticks, the accessory kit comes with four alternative options: two tall, one dome, and one with a thicker metal ring to increase resistance.
The Ultimate 3E is the second wireless 8BitDo controller for Xbox.
You can also quickly swap between two styles of directional pads. The default is a newly designed eight-way D-pad with a circular shape. If you prefer the classic style, the alternative is a four-way D-pad similar to the ones found on other 8BitDo controllers. Both D-pad modules have magnetic connectors.
The modular design doesn't extend to the extra remappable buttons. Like the Ultimate 2, the Ultimate 3E has two built-in back buttons and two extra shoulder buttons (R4 and L4). The shoulder buttons can be remapped on the fly on the controller itself, while the back buttons and other inputs are remapped using 8BitDo's free Ultimate Software app. Other settings such as RGB lighting effects and stick/trigger sensitivity can be adjusted using the app. Just like other editions of the Ultimate, you can create and store up to three custom control layouts that can be cycled through by pressing the Profile button on the controller.
The Ultimate 3E is 8BitDo's first licensed Xbox controller with trigger stops. It has Hall Effect Impulse Triggers with the haptic feedback found in official Xbox Wireless Controllers. You can toggle the switches on the back of the Ultimate 3E to actuate the triggers faster. If they work like the Ultimate 2, the trigger stops essentially turn RT and LT into shoulder buttons.
R4 and L4 shoulder buttons can be remapped without Ultimate Software X.
8BitDo says the 1400mAh battery offers up to 18 hours of play and takes 4-5 hours to fully charge. The controller is bundled with a wireless charging dock that has "zero contact points." Outside of the charging pins/contacts, no part of the controller touches the charging stand. The 2.4GHz USB-C dongle is stored inside the charging dock's bottom compartment.
Though the Ultimate 3E is an Xbox controller, it has a couple of PC-only features. Competitive players will be interested to hear the Ultimate 3E is rated for up to 1,000Hz polling rates in wireless and wired modes. PC players can also use customizable 6-axis motion controls when synced to the wireless dongle.
The Ultimate 3E is the latest entry in 8BitDo's impressive collection of controllers and other peripherals licensed by Xbox. As mentioned, the only other conventional 8BitDo wireless controller for Xbox consoles is the eye-catching Ultimate 3-Mode Rare 40th Anniversary Edition. That said, there are a few other specialty 8BitDo wireless controllers for Xbox, including the Wireless Arcade Stick, which is on sale for $90 (was $120), and the All-Button Arcade Controller for $80 (was $100). We've rounded up all of the notable Xbox-licensed 8BitDo products below, including the retro-inspired transparent green gaming keyboard and mouse, both of which are discounted to great prices.

May 26, 2026 is a loaded date for Grand Theft Auto fans. At one point, it was supposed to be the release date for Grand Theft Auto 6. Ahead of the company's annual earnings call last week, Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick confirmed the game is on track to launch on Nov. 19. Today's date has prompted fans on social media to reflect on the long, long wait for the sequel — and share their hopes for the final product.

That's partly because having a new developer behind the character, combined with a slight genre switch to something we've not seen before in Bond, feels like a reboot of the franchise from a gaming perspective, but also because it retcons much of what we know about 007 from a storytelling angle. First Light is set in the present day, but Bond — played by Patrick Gibson (The OA, Shadow and Bone) — is young.

Critical Role has been doing things a little differently in Campaign 4. After a four-episode overture that introduced Critters to the history, people, and lore of Aramán, Dungeon Master Brennan Lee Mulligan split the 13-player cast into three tables. The Soldiers, Seekers, and Schemers have been off on their own adventures, but on May 21, the three groups converged in episode 26, “Council of Heroes.”

The mission begins now.
GeForce NOW is dialing up the action with a blockbuster mix of spy thrills, high-speed racing and member rewards — plus eight new games joining the cloud this week, all ready to stream instantly.
Leading the drop: the 007 First Light Ultimate Membership Bundle, which brings a brand-new way to jump into one of the year’s biggest releases and discover James Bond’s reimagined origin story.
Rev the engines — the Horizon Festival is calling. Forza Horizon 6 is now available on GeForce NOW — bringing the series’ signature open-world racing and festival energy directly to members, wherever they play. A license to stream.
A mission worth accepting arrives. Starting today through Wednesday, June 10, 007 First Light is included with the purchase of a 12-month GeForce NOW Ultimate membership. Lock it in before the game’s launch, and it’ll be ready to play the moment it goes live on Wednesday, May 27 — no preloads, no waiting, no mission briefings required.
This is a new, original take of Bond’s story — before the tux fit perfectly and the martinis got specific. 007 First Light drops players into a sharp, cinematic origin story packed with globe-trotting espionage, close calls and choices that shape how the world’s most famous agent takes form. Expect stealth, spectacle and just enough chaos to keep things interesting.
Stream it all with GeForce RTX 50 Series GPU power in the cloud, with up to 5K high dynamic range and cinematic-quality streaming for Ultimate members. It’s high-end PC gaming, minus the high-end PC.
Redeeming the mission is simple: After purchase, get the game by going to the “Available to Redeem” section in the account portal, signing in to a Steam account and completing the redemption.
The game is for members to keep — and ready to play across devices at launch with GeForce NOW.

Title: Sea You in the Cloud: ‘Subnautica 2’ Early Access Dives Onto GeForce NOW
Date: Thu, 14 May 2026 13:00:08 +0000
Link: https://blogs.nvidia.com/blog/geforce-now-thursday-subnautica-2/
Editor’s note: The Gaijin single sign-on feature is now up and running.
Dive masks on — Subnautica 2 is making a splash on GeForce NOW day-and-date with launch, so members can plunge into the title’s brand-new alien ocean from almost any device.
It leads 11 new games joining the cloud this week.
A limited-time HITMAN World of Assassination reward event brings signature tools of the trade — equal parts precision and unpredictability. At the same time Le Chiffre from CASINO ROYALE, played by the legendary actor Mads Mikkelsen, returns to HITMAN World of Assassination. Play for free through May 25 and earn a unique reward for 007 First Light.
Meanwhile, engines are already revving — the highly anticipated Forza Horizon 6 races onto the scene with early access, starting today for players who preordered the Premium Edition on Steam or purchased the Premium Upgrade Bundle for PC Game Pass. GeForce NOW members can jump in once early access becomes available on the service — no preinstalls or downloads needed.
It all highlights what GeForce NOW does best: turning PC gaming collections into play-anywhere experiences across devices, with no install, updates or the latest hardware required.
Making Waves
Explore the unknown with the cloud.
Jump into a shared-world ocean frontier in Subnautica 2 — where survival, exploration and creativity rise to the surface together. Every reef, trench and stormy horizon is crafted to be swum through, studied and slowly tamed as players chart their own course beneath alien waves.
Descend into a living seascape of dynamic ecosystems, mysterious ruins and creatures that range from curious to colossal. Take on story-driven missions, dive into resource-rich biomes and construct bases above and below the surface to turn hostile waters into a home. Whether playing solo or with a crew, the ocean stays vast and unpredictable.
On GeForce NOW, every current, glow and shadow streams with crisp detail and fluid performance straight from the cloud. Members can plunge into the depths in moments, skipping downloads and hardware upgrades.
Keep It Classy
Shaken, stirred and slightly unhinged.
Suit up, agent — things are getting a little explosive.
A new HITMAN World of Assassination reward event lands on GeForce NOW, giving members a stylish (and slightly unhinged) way to make an impression.
Each item leans into HITMAN’s signature tone — equal parts precision, chaos and dark humor. Here’s what’s waiting:
Free users: The Purple Streak Explosive Duck — a remote explosive disguised as an innocent rubber toy.
Performance members: The Purple Streak Explosive Duck and the Bomb Dynamite, a classic TNT bundle built for loud, messy exits.
Ultimate members: Full Ultimate Bundle — adds the Purple Streak Fiber Wire (a sleek, silent takedown tool) and the Purple Streak Swimwear Suit (a bold outfit that trades stealth for style) to the Purple Streak Explosive Duck and the Bomb Dynamite.
Starting today, all members get access to the rewards, which will remain available through Sunday, June 14, first come, first served. To claim, log in to a GeForce NOW account, head to the rewards section in the account portal and redeem.
One mission, a handful of questionable tools and a clear message: Stealth is optional, style is not.
Splashy New Games
In addition, members can look for the following:
Battlestar Galactica: Scattered Hopes (New release on Steam, May 11)
Outbound (New release on Steam, May 11)
Directive 8020 (New release on Steam, May 12)
Subnautica 2 (New release on Steam, Epic Games Store and Xbox, available on Game Pass, May 14)
Blades of Fire (New release on Steam, May 14)
Forza Horizon 6 (Early access on Steam and Xbox, available on Game Pass, May 14)
Disco Elysium (Xbox, available on Game Pass)
Oddsparks: An Automation Adventure (Epic Games Store)
Planet Coaster 2 (Epic Games Store)
Sudden Strike 5 (Steam)
Super Battle Golf (Steam)
The Gaijin single sign-on feature is coming soon and is currently in development with Gaijin. Updates will be shared in a future GeForce NOW Thursday once the feature is live.

Title: Linked and Loaded: Gaijin Single Sign-On Now Available on GeForce NOW
Date: Thu, 07 May 2026 13:00:27 +0000
Link: https://blogs.nvidia.com/blog/geforce-now-thursday-gaijin-sso/
Less typing, more tanking.
Faster logins mean more time in the gaming action — and this week provides GeForce NOW members with a smoother path straight into the battlefield.
Cloud gaming is all about instant access to titles across devices, and the latest GeForce NOW update removes another layer for members jumping into their Gaijin libraries from anywhere.
With seven games joining the cloud this week, the action keeps growing — now backed by NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 performance for Ultimate members across nearly the full GeForce NOW library, spanning both Ready-to-Play and Install-to-Play titles.
One Gaijin Login to Rule Them All
Less typing, more tanking.
Gaijin account linking is now cleared for takeoff on GeForce NOW, making it easier to jump straight into battle without extra logins. With Gaijin single sign-on, one quick sign-in connects a Gaijin.net account to the cloud, so supported titles are ready to launch with fewer clicks and no password juggling.
Just head to the GeForce NOW app on PC or Mac, dive into the settings and log in under “Connections.”
Once linked, supported Gaijin games on GeForce NOW — like the combined-arms chaos of War Thunder — are ready to stream without logging in each time. It’s the same library-first, platform-linking magic members already enjoy with Xbox, Ubisoft Connect and more, now extended to Gaijin so existing PC accounts work seamlessly across devices.
Groovy New Games
Groove or go down.
Dead as Disco from Brain Jar Games drops players into a neon-soaked fever dream where every punch, dodge and takedown hits on the beat. This rhythm-infused brawler blends stylish combat with pulsing tracks, turning each fight into a dance floor showdown. Chain combos, stay in sync and keep the groove alive as the chaos escalates. Now available to stream on GeForce NOW, it’s all about timing, flair and fighting like the music never stops
In addition, members can look for the following games, all ready to play on GeForce RTX 5080-power for Ultimate members:
Dead as Disco (New release on Steam, May 5)
HUNTDOWN: OVERTIME (New release on Steam, May 7)
Nuclear Option (Steam)
Sintopia (Steam)
Kiln (Steam and Xbox, available on Game Pass)
Hotel Architect (Steam)
PowerWash Simulator 2 (Xbox, available on Game Pass)

Title: It’s Gonna Be May: 16 Games Hit the Cloud This Month, With More NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 Power
Date: Thu, 30 Apr 2026 13:00:47 +0000
Link: https://blogs.nvidia.com/blog/geforce-now-thursday-may-2026-games-list/
[Editor’s note] The blog has been updated to note that GeForce RTX 5080-power expansion also extends to the Install-to-Play library.
It’s gonna be May — and the cloud’s in full festival mode.
16 games are joining GeForce NOW this month, including new AAA titles arriving on launch day from Steam, Xbox, PC Game Pass and GOG, so members can stream their PC libraries instantly across almost any device. Headline launches include the highly anticipated Forza Horizon 6 and 007 First Light, both ready to hit the cloud on day one.
Meanwhile, the GeForce NOW Ultimate membership dials things up with expanded RTX 5080‑class performance across the cloud gaming library, bringing higher frame rates, richer visuals and more responsive gameplay to even more of the games members already love. Ultimate members now get priority access to RTX 5080‑class rigs, making it easier than ever to tap into next‑generation PC power from almost any device.
GeForce NOW is also celebrating 30 years of Firaxis in style, with more of the studio’s classics coming as Install‑to‑Play titles for instant access — just in time for a Steam celebration sale on select Firaxis games supported in the cloud.
And this week kicks things off with six new games dropping into the cloud, setting the stage for a May packed with new adventures.
The Cloud Keeps Getting Bigger
AAA titles are landing throughout the month on their launch dates. Members can pick them up from their favorite PC stores — Steam, Xbox, PC Game Pass and GOG — and stream their PC gaming libraries instantly on GeForce NOW without having to repurchase titles to play across devices.
The highly anticipated titles hitting the cloud this month include:
Stream it on GeForce NOW.
Forza Horizon 6 from Playground Games: The Horizon festival is back and bigger than ever. This is Horizon Japan — stretching from the iconic downtown streets of Tokyo City all the way to the snowy Japanese Alps — introducing the most dense and vertical map yet. A massive new open world, a stacked car roster and that legendary “one more race” energy are all heading to GeForce NOW on the title’s launch date. Members can pick it up on PC via Steam and Xbox, including Game Pass, then hit full throttle from the cloud on almost any device.
007 First Light from IO Interactive: The game brings a modern James Bond origin story to the cloud when it launches Wednesday, May 27, for PC, inviting members to step into the shadows as Bond begins his journey. Experience a mix of stealth and action built around a “breathing” gameplay loop with IOI’s cinematic, set piece-driven storytelling. Approach encounters through stealth, direct action or creative improvisation, with multiple viable paths to each objective that let players define Bond’s style. It’s ready on day one for players grabbing it on Steam, Xbox on PC or GOG.
More Power
GeForce NOW Ultimate is expanding what premium cloud gaming looks like. Starting today, Ultimate members can stream even more of their games on RTX 5080 virtual gaming rigs — bringing the power of the NVIDIA Blackwell RTX architecture to a wide range of titles.
This update significantly broadens access to 5080 performance beyond the list of GeForce RTX 5080-optimized titles. Now, across nearly the entire GeForce NOW library, members can experience higher frame rates, richer visuals, and more responsive gameplay by default at up to 5K 120 frames per second or 360 fps at 1080p.
With RTX 5080 in the cloud, Ultimate members unlock the same cutting-edge features available to GeForce RTX 50 Series GPU owners. That includes NVIDIA DLSS 4 technology for sharper image quality and higher performance, NVIDIA Reflex for reduced system latency and faster input response, and advanced ray tracing for more lifelike lighting and reflections.
With RTX 5080 powering the default Ultimate experience, GeForce NOW delivers next-generation performance to more games, extending the value of a GeForce NOW membership. See more details in the knowledgebase article.
30 Years of ‘One More Turn’
Happy 30th, O mighty Firaxis Games.
GeForce NOW is celebrating three decades of Firaxis — the legendary studio behind Civilization and XCOM — with a growing lineup of some of the best strategy games on the cloud.
Throughout May, GeForce NOW is rolling out a collection of classic Firaxis games, available as Install-to-Play titles for instant access. Expanding beyond Civilization V and Civilization VI and the series’ signature “one more turn” gameplay, GeForce NOW will showcase the studio’s broader legacy.
Take to the stars in Sid Meier’s Civilization: Beyond Earth, lay tracks in Sid Meier’s Railroads!, defend the globe in XCOM 2, and command the skies in Ace Patrol and Ace Patrol: Pacific Skies.
Add to that the anniversary celebration on Steam with discounts of up to 90% on games in the Firaxis catalog for a limited time. It’s the perfect time for members to build their Firaxis collection in the cloud.
May-jor New Games
One wrong turn from glory to graveyard.
Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era is the official prequel that returns to the roots of the genre-defining, critically acclaimed turn-based strategy series. Raise grand armies and wield devastating spells to overcome foes in solo and multiplayer, set against a grim, war-torn world of uneasy alliances and hard choices. Now available to stream on GeForce NOW, every decision shapes a path defined by power, strategy and hard-earned victories
All roads lead to Rome. Some also lead directly into a volcano.
Anno 117: PAX Romana is turning up the heat with its first downloadable content (DLC), Prophecies of Ash, dropping a massive new volcanic island into the heart of the Roman empire. Build a thriving city on Cinis, juggle new production chains like obsidian crafting and new items, and try to stay on the good side of Vulcan — a new deity to worship — while a very active volcano looks in the background. Additionally, the DLC introduces a new resource a new trader, Ceacilia, and several new specialists. Available to stream on GeForce NOW, the DLC is ready to play without waiting on big downloads or patches — just jump in, claim the new land and see whether the empire can handle a little fire and brimstone.

Title: Tag, You’re It: GeForce NOW Levels Up Game Discovery With Xbox Game Pass and Ubisoft+ Labels
Date: Thu, 23 Apr 2026 13:00:51 +0000
Link: https://blogs.nvidia.com/blog/geforce-now-thursday-in-app-labels/
GeForce NOW is doubling down on what matters most: gamers. This week’s upgrades bring smarter libraries, making it easier than ever for gamers to turn a PC collection into a cloud-powered flex.
It starts with giving existing libraries time to shine. Gamers can bring the games they love to the cloud, stream them with high performance and see the value of a GeForce NOW membership grow with new games, rewards and features.
First up, finding something to play gets an upgrade. The new in-app labels, first announced at GDC, are now live — making it simple to spot titles and new releases from connected subscription services like Xbox Game Pass and Ubisoft+.
All that sets the stage for six new games rolling onto the cloud this week. Leading the charge is Vampire Crawlers: The Turbo Wildcard, a chaotic new spin on the fast, unpredictable and packed-with-personality Vampire Survivors universe. Even the vampires can’t avoid the spotlight this time.
Round it out with a thunderous new Marvel Rivals skin for Thor, and it’s a lineup fitted to perfection.
Just Play It
GeForce NOW lets members connect their existing gaming subscriptions to bring more of their games with them on the go, across devices. Today, keeping track of which games can be streamed just got even easier. New in‑app game labels on GeForce NOW make it easy to see which titles are part of Xbox Game Pass or Ubisoft+ game libraries once accounts are connected.
Tagged and ready.
Clear labels now appear directly on each game’s details — eliminating guesswork and making it simple to see exactly what’s available to play instantly from connected subscriptions. Stream hundreds of NVIDIA RTX-powered titles with a single click.
More clarity, less searching — and one more reason the cloud gaming library has never looked better.
Feeding Time
Make sure to bite hard.
Get fired up for the feeding frenzy — Vampire Crawlers: The Turbo Wildcard is a roguelite horde escape game that stacks absurd power‑ups and turns every run into a highlight reel of close calls. Stay mobile, grab upgrades and try not to become the snack.
Every build becomes a delightful walking disaster, with weapons, perks and abilities combining into wild synergies that can turn a run from barely surviving to absolutely steamrolling in just a few upgrades. Dense enemy waves, screen‑filling attacks and unpredictable upgrade paths keep each attempt fresh — and dangerously prone to “one more run.”
On GeForce NOW, all that chaos stays razor sharp, with smooth performance for dodge‑heavy moments, crisp effects even when the screen is packed and the ability to jump back into the madness from any supported device.
Thunder Drip
Thor is striking poses again.
The God of Thunder is trading his classic red cape for an umber‑toned, battle‑ready look that can only mean one thing: a serious style upgrade. GeForce NOW Premium members get first access to the Thor Midgard Umber Skin in Marvel Rivals starting today, and those on the free tier can grab it starting Friday, April 24, bringing stormy flair to the battlefield.
Claim the reward by Saturday, May 23 — or before Odin hoards them all. Redeem through the GeForce NOW account portal and enter the code in game on Steam. Then stride forth, majestic and moody, because this look is eternal — at least until the next mythic crossover.
Time for Adventures
Members can look for the following new games this week:
Vampire Crawlers: The Turbo Wildcard from Vampire Survivors (New release on Steam and Xbox, available on Game Pass, April 21)
Tides of Tomorrow (New release on Steam, April 22, GeForce RTX 5080-ready)
‘83 (New release on Steam, April 23, GeForce RTX 5080-ready)
Diablo III (New release on Ubisoft Connect, April 23)
Crimson Desert (Xbox, available to play via Xbox Play Anywhere, GeForce RTX 5080-ready)
MapleStory M (Steam)

Today, I am thrilled to share a closer look at Where Winds Meet’s upcoming second major expansion, Imperial Palace, arriving on May 28, and detail how we have tailored this massive update specifically for PlayStation 5 Pro.

When we set out to build this new chapter, we wanted to create an authentic, breathing Eastern royal court that you could truly lose yourself in. To achieve this, we have focused heavily on optimization, ensuring that the heavy historical atmosphere and lightning-fast Wuxia combat feel seamless and immersive on your console.

A living Eastern Court of secrets and fun
The expansion unlocks the Kaifeng Imperial Palace – a sprawling forbidden city spanning over one million square meters. From grand ceremonial halls to hidden corners shrouded in secrecy, more than 3,000 dynamic NPCs create a living, ever-changing palace ecosystem. Entering under the pretense of an investigation, you will unexpectedly join the Office of Martial and Virtue – the court’s elite intelligence agency. As an undercover agent, you will gradually untangling the hidden truths buried beneath the center of power.
But the palace isn’t just about rigid espionage; it is full of vibrant everyday culture. You can engage in Cricket Fighting, seasonal Ice Frolicking, jail breaking from the Imperial Prison, sneaking a taste of the royal meal, or stumble upon hidden martial arts masters. Lethal dangers also await in the shadows: you will confront the dynasty’s dark history in the heavily guarded Sealed Treasury, face brutal illusions in the underground Confinement Tower, and battle eerie World Bosses like the Silken Wrath and the Royal Kitten.
Enhancing immersion with PS5 Pro and upgraded PSSR
We have specially optimized the most demanding in-game scenarios for PlayStation 5. Whether wandering through bustling imperial streets teeming with NPCs, triggering magnificent grand court events, or engaging in epic boss battles with stunning visual effects, PlayStation 5 handles all gameplay scenarios with effortless ease.
For players venturing into the Jianghu world on PS5 Pro, we have unlocked new hardware capabilities. The PS5 Pro edition comes with ray-traced reflections, which deliver stunning visual effects particularly on water surfaces inside palaces. During exploration, moats and courtyard ponds dynamically mirror the gentle glow of lanterns, drifting clouds and your character’s movements. In vast palace environments, PS5 Pro maintains stable performance at approximately 60fps for a smooth exploration journey.
Powered by the upgraded PSSR super-resolution upgrade, the overall visual clarity of the imperial palace has seen substantial improvements. Fine details including sleek roof ridge curves, ceiling paintings and intricate lantern textures appear sharper and more defined than ever before. Most notably, PSSR enhances dynamic stability, greatly minimizing ghosting and flickering effects when dashing across rooftops or swiftly panning the camera to search for clues.
The massive gates of Kaifeng are parting, and the empire’s deepest secrets hang in the balance. Draw your blade, steel your resolve, and plunge into the majestic, perilous shadows of the Imperial Palace on May 28.
Title: (For Southeast Asia) Singapore’s Sands Theatre to host first Gran Turismo World Series event in Southeast Asia on Saturday, 3 October

25 May 2026 – Round 3 of the 2026 Gran Turismo World Series will be held at Singapore’s Sands Theatre, located in the iconic Marina Bay Sands complex, on Saturday, 3 October, 2026. Tickets are now on sale for the event that will be held in partnership with the Singapore Tourism Board and form one of the events of Grand Prix™ Season Singapore (2 to 11 October 2026) as the city builds up to its annual Formula 1 race, that takes place from 9 to 11 October 2026.
A Singapore Regional Time Trial Challenge held in-game on Gran Turismo 7 in August, with participants from Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Thailand, South Korea, Malaysia and Indonesia eligible to take part (Terms and Conditions will be posted on Gran-Turismo.com in due course). The Time Trial will result in competitors from Singapore being joined by the fastest racer from each of the other participating territories, invited to attend the Gran Turismo World Series and compete on stage in a special support race – the Singapore Regional Gran Turismo Cup.
The Singapore event will be the first time for the Gran Turismo World Series to visit Southeast Asia. Singapore has a strong automotive, motor sport and gaming culture and so an enthusiastic crowd is expected at the Sands Theatre during Grand Prix Season Singapore.
“As an elite sim racing tournament, the highly regarded Gran Turismo World Series reinforces Singapore’s position as a premier destination for world-class sporting and entertainment events. We look forward to the energy and excitement that Round 3 will bring to our city as the penultimate round, adding further vibrancy to this year’s Grand Prix™ Season Singapore,” said Lilian Chee, Director, Sports, Singapore Tourism Board.”
“Singapore is a great place to visit and so we hope that fans of Gran Turismo from across the region will be able to come and watch our top racers in action,” commented Gran Turismo Series Producer Kazunori Yamauchi. “The regional Time Trial is an opportunity for us to discover talented drivers from the region and give them a chance to race on stage in front of a live audience and maybe that experience will give them the confidence to make it into the Gran Turismo World Series in future.”
As well as the Singapore Regional Gran Turismo Cup, fans will have a chance to witness some of the fastest SIM racers in the world in the Manufacturers Cup and Nations Cup with a single ticket covering all three events on the afternoon and evening of Saturday, 3 October. The event is the last points-scoring opportunity before the Gran Turismo World Series moves to Tokyo for the World Finals in early December, and so the competition will be fierce.
Full details of the event and how to purchase tickets can be found at https://www.gran-turismo.com/world/gt7/events/gtws2026/singapore/ticket/
